2. Project Challenge and solution:

In 2005, Zunle Doors undertook the production and installation of fire doors for this project, including 149 steel fire doors and 278 wooden fire doors. Due to the complex dimensional requirements for fire doors in this project. Therefore, we provide professional services to our customers. We fully communicate with customers to understand their specific requirements, including height, width, thickness, fire time, etc. And we send professional and technical personnel to the project site for measurement and evaluation. According to the actual situation of the site, determine the exact size of the fire door, taking into account the location of the door frame and the structure of the wall, etc.

3.Product characteristics and quality:

Fire doors have several key characteristics that make them essential for ensuring safety in buildings:

(1). Fire Resistance: The primary characteristic of fire doors is their ability to withstand the spread of fire. They are designed and constructed using fire-resistant materials, such as steel or solid wood, with special fire-resistant core materials. This helps to prevent the fire from spreading to other areas of the building, providing valuable time for occupants to evacuate safely.

(2). Intumescent Seals: Fire doors are equipped with intumescent seals around the door frame and edges. These seals expand when exposed to heat, creating a tight seal that prevents the passage of smoke and flames. This helps to maintain compartmentalization and limit the spread of fire and smoke throughout the building.

(3). Self-closing Mechanism: Fire doors are typically equipped with a self-closing mechanism, such as a door closer or spring hinge. This ensures that the door automatically closes and latches shut in the event of a fire, even if left open. The self-closing feature helps to maintain the integrity of the fire barrier and prevent the spread of fire and smoke.

(4). Fire-rated Glazing: Some fire doors feature fire-rated glazing, which allows for visibility and natural light transmission while maintaining fire resistance. Fire-rated glazing is made with special glass materials that can withstand high temperatures and prevent the spread of fire.

(5). Fire-rated Hardware: Fire doors require specific fire-rated hardware, such as fire-rated locks, handles, hinges, and door closers. These components are tested and designed to maintain the fire resistance of the door and ensure proper operation during a fire emergency.

(6). Compliance with Regulations: Fire doors must comply with local fire safety regulations and standards. They are subject to rigorous testing and certification to ensure their fire resistance and performance. Compliance with regulations is crucial to ensure the effectiveness of fire doors in protecting lives and property.

Overall, the key characteristics of fire doors include their fire resistance, intumescent seals, self-closing mechanism, fire-rated glazing, fire-rated hardware, and compliance with regulations. These features make fire doors essential in preventing the spread of fire, protecting occupants, and allowing for safe evacuation during a fire emergency.

4.Installation steps of fire doors:

(1). Measure the size of the door opening and confirm the size of the fire door required.

(2). Check the installation position of the door frame to ensure that it is vertical and horizontal. If necessary, use a spirit level to check.

(3). Install the door frame and fix it with screws or expansion bolts. Pay attention to the strength of the installation and ensure that the door frame is firm and stable.

(4). Install the door leaf into the door frame and adjust the gap between the door leaf and the frame to ensure that it is consistent and there are no large gaps.

(5). Install the hinges on the door frame and door leaf, and fix them with screws. Ensure that the hinges are installed horizontally and vertically, and that the door can be opened and closed smoothly.

(6). Install the lock and handle on the door leaf, and fix them with screws. Ensure that the lock and handle are installed in the correct position and that the door can be locked and unlocked smoothly.

(7). Install the door closer on the door frame and door leaf, and adjust the tightness and speed of the door closing to ensure that the door can be closed quickly and tightly.

(8). Install the door seal on the door frame and door leaf, and ensure that it is tightly sealed to prevent smoke and harmful gases from entering the room.

(9). Install the fireproof glass or fireproof window on the door leaf if necessary, and ensure that it meets the requirements of fire resistance and safety.

(10). Test the fire door after installation to ensure that it can be opened and closed smoothly, and that it meets the requirements of fire resistance and safety.
